Fortune Union provides quality flexible packaging single layered and laminates to package and protect market leading medical, pharmaceutical products.

AluAlu pharmaceutical film

Used for packaging pharmaceutical products which are particularly susceptible to moisture and/or light. Unlike standard plastic blisters, AluAlu packaging blisters are not thermoformed but instead are cold-pressed into shape.
Products that require the highest degree of protection are packed using AluAlu film blister package.

The use of cold-formable foils is growing because more moisture sensitive drugs are on the market. Cold-formable foil is finding favour because it is the only material that provides a 100% barrier to moisture, oxygen, and light. This has helped expand the applications in which blisters can be used, allowing the blister packaging of sensitive products.
Alu ALu film comprises lamination of Nylon OPA, Adhesive, Aluminum foil, Adhesive and PVC film. All materials used in the production of AluAlu are of the highest standards allowing exceptional strechability and maximum cup depth during packaging process.

Pharmaceutical PVC film

PVC blisters offer structural rigidity and physical protection for the pharmaceutical dosage form.
PVC sheet thickness is typically chosen between 200µ to 300µ depending on the cavity size and shape.
Typical values for the Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR or MVTR) of a 250µ PVC film are around 3.0 g/m2/day measured at 38°C/90%RH and the Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) is around 20 cc/m2/day.
PVC film can be coated with PVDC or laminated to PCTFE or COC to increase the protective properties. Also, the PVC layer can be colored with pigments and/or UV filters.
